Dr Digi's image for November 2001 (caption at bottom)
Eckington

Pelican perched eighteen feet up,
at the top of the tallest medieval font cover in an English parish church, at Ufford.
The colours are probably original. Note the run of blood on the pelican's chest,
where she has pecked herself in order to give life to her children.
