This Sir Roger was grandson of the earlier Sir Roger, who died forty
years before.
Earlier writers on brasses assumed that the brass was to the first Sir
Roger.
In fact, the brass was orignally made for the second Sir Roger's father,
Sir Giles, before his death,
then appropriated for his son at his premature deceasse.
