Gazetteer of the work of Sir Ninian Comper
In September 2006, the Society published a 336 page book on the church architect Sir Ninian Comper. It includes a gazetteer of all of Comper's work with more than six hundred entries.

We welcome corrections and additions to the gazetteer.

The current list of corrections is shown below, in order of date of receipt.. Our thanks to all those who have contacted us.

At a convenient time, we will type up the corrections and create a neat document in Word and pdf format for you to print out and put inside your copy of the book.

A Crozier designed by Sir Ninian Comper, made by Frank Knight of  Wellingborough c 1924. The crozier is silver and blue enamel, featuring the arms of  Winchester encircled by the Garter, and a serpent and an angel. The crozier was made for Frank Theodore Woods, Bishop of Winchester  (1923-1932), and then passed to his brother Edward Sydney Woods,  Bishop of Lichfield 1937-1953. Later it passed to his son, Frank Woods, who became Bishop of  Middleton 1953-1957. Frank Woods became Archbishop of Melbourne 1957-1977, and the crozier  is conserved in St Paul's Cathedral, Melbourne, Australia.
